The encouraging economy is predicted to be good for the mortgage industry this year, but more clients are needing help with common issues that prevent them from purchasing a home. 

HomePrep, an Indisoft IT platform that connects mortgage loan originators (MLO) with clients who need help getting mortgage ready to HUD counselors who can help get these clients, has identified The 6 most needed services that can assist the greatest number of clients. 

2 of these services, budgeting and homebuyer education, are a required staple of the HUD housing counseling industry. 3 of the services have added tools that are being shared with MLOs and HUD counselors to finetune needs such as credit help with CreditXpert’s Wayfinder and What-If Simulator, Down Payment Connect for down payment assistance and the SDS platform for student loan repayment plans. 

The sixth service (soon to be open!) is Freddie Mac’s HomeCoach that can only be used by HUD counselors and gives an automated approval using a soft pull credit used by the HUD counseling agency. 

An explanation page for HomePrep resides on the Clients2Homeowners.com website, a place where MLOs can go to learn about HomePrep and connect with the service. This site was made by MLO’s FOR MLO’s to grow mortgage knowledge! 

Minimum requirements for MLOs and their clients and cost for the program will also be explained.
