Student Debt Solutions (SDS) is a self-help application for clients who have student loans and want to find ways to reduce student loan monthly payments.

HomePrep recently added SDS to its list of mortgage loan originator (MLO) services available for clients preparing for a mortgage. Through an intuitive platform, Student Debt Solutions (SDS) allows clients to discover all available repayment options for existing government student loans upfront.

Clients who are preparing for a mortgage can include the SDS student loan repayment plan with five other HomePrep services to prepare for a mortgage. But other clients may only need the SDS service to find out how they can lower payments. Student loan cancellation, forgiveness and any balance reduction can also be found with this service.

Clients see what their payment could be upfront, but only pay for the $99 service after deciding to proceed with a student loan repayment plan. Once the client proceeds, the SDS platform provides the client with all needed documents and provides step by step direction to finish out the application to put the desired new student loan payment plan in place.

The cost for HomePrep services except SDS is $99.
SDS is an additional cost of $99.
